Born & raised in New York, early on we learned to play guitar, bass, & drums from the 1960's
Greenwich Village Hippie crowd, & a few revered NYC recording
artists. By our early teens we were accomplished musicians, very well known in our local neighborhoods. Some of our first experiences playing for live audiences were in and around the streets of Greenwich Village, Washington Square Park, & Central Park.

Graduating High School at age 16, I was fortunate enough to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston. Studying advanced theory, composition, song writing, arranging, performance, recording, & the music business, I graduated
Berklee with top honors at age 19. I also tutored as a student teacher at Berklee, privately taught guitar & theory, and gigged in & around the Boston area. I then returned to NY & attended the
Institute of Audio Research for two years with The Rosedale Boys
& original Mandala band mates. Featuring
original material, we became the house band for the Instutute's main
studio, and were the session group for most of the Institute's
recording projects while we attended.

Returning to my New York roots, I hooked up with the gang. We gigged in & around the infamous East Village clubs on Bleeker Street, McDougal Street, & West 4th Street. We also gigged throughout Long Island, & the East Coast. Back on the New York scene, We worked as a highly acclaimed session players,
singers, song writers, and producers. Focusing on
writing & producing original projects, we established a few New York area recording studios. Throughout the 1990's I continued working full
time behind the scenes in the music & entertainment industries, establishing a network of industry connections.

As singers, songwriters & solo
artists, we have an extensive catalog of very tasty original material.
Many have described our melodic mellow-spacey retro sound as unique, but
hauntingly familiar. Think Pink Floyd meets Led Zep meets Hendrix meets
Post Beatles meets Steely Dan meets World Music (what the ????). Please see the Mandala Music page for MP3 samples.
